Irish Silver Dessert Spoon
Hallmark is dated 1788
Hallmarks are amazingly clear for an item that is 236 years old.
The reverse of the handle is engraved with a Leopard or Cats head with a rope twist below. Hallmarked for the maker John Dalrymple, who worked between 1789 and 1794 John Dalrymple is a rare maker mark As he does not appear in the definitive book on Irish Silver written by Douglas Bennett.
Items will be packed and posted using only Royal Mail Special delivery thus ensuring that it (hopefully) does not get lost in the post and of course will have the appropriate compensation attached to it.
Please bear in mind that should your item need alteration this will not be posted straight away but on completion of the re-sizing and finishing (polishing to perfection).
Dependent on the object it will be sent as a large Letter or whichever size parcel is appropriate. However, I only use Royal Mail Special Delivery, which is signed for at both ends.
Postage is free to UK addresses unless stated otherwise. For addresses outside of the UK your postage cost will be calculated on the checkout page depending on what country you are based.
