Irish Dessert Spoon Circa 1770’s

Here we have an unusual spoon in that it has no date stamp!

It has all the usual Hallmarks of Irish Silver. the Harp the Crown and the Hibernia. Marks are slightly rubbed and there does not appear to be a place where the date stamp might have been rubbed off. My belief is that it simply was forgotten. See the Photo of Hallmark.

Makers mark for William French whose work was seen in 1767 2222and 1770-1771

Items will be packed and posted using only Royal Mail Special delivery thus ensuring that it (hopefully) does not get lost in the post and of course will have the appropriate compensation attached to it.

Please bear in mind that should your item need alteration this will not be posted straight away but on completion of the re-sizing and finishing (polishing to perfection).

Dependent on the object it will be sent as a large Letter or whichever size parcel is appropriate. However, I only use Royal Mail Special Delivery, which is signed for at both ends.

Postage is free to UK addresses unless stated otherwise. For addresses outside of the UK your postage cost will be calculated on the checkout page depending on what country you are based.
